Point (d) changes from requiring a report by 31 December 2017 on the application of competition rules to the agricultural sector, covering specific articles, to requiring a report by 31 December 2025 and every seven years thereafter on the application of competition rules to the agricultural sector as laid down in the Regulation generally, without naming those specific articles.

Four new reporting points are added: (da) a report by 31 December 2023 on the Union market observatories under Article 222a, (db) a report by 31 December 2023 and every three years thereafter on the use of crisis measures adopted under Articles 219 to 222, (dc) a report by 31 December 2024 on the use of new information and communication technologies for market transparency under Article 223, and (dd) a report by 30 June 2024 on sales designations and carcass classification in the sheepmeat and goatmeat sector.

The list of reports the Commission must present to the European Parliament and to the Council now includes two additional items, both due by 31 July 2023, one on the application of the allocation criteria referred to in Article 23a(2) and one on the impact of the transfers referred to in Article 23a(4) on the effectiveness of the school scheme in relation to the distribution of school fruit and vegetables and school milk.

The prior version ended with the point on the application of competition rules to the agricultural sector due by 31 December 2017, without any further points.
