A new entry for Perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), its salts and PFHxS-related compounds, with associated EC, CAS and CN code identifiers, has been added to Part 1 of the list.

The entry for Endosulfan has been updated to add two further CAS numbers and to change its CN code from ex29203000 to ex29203000 rendered without the 'ex' prefix, now listed simply as 29203000.

The list of persistent organic pollutants in Part 1 has been expanded to add new entries such as Dicofol, Pentachlorophenol and its salts and esters, PFOA and its salts and related compounds, PFOS and its salts and perfluorooctane sulfonyl fluoride, and Decabromodiphenyl ether, each with its own EC, CAS and CN code identifiers.

Many CN codes for existing chemicals in Part 1 have been changed, generally replaced with 'ex' prefixed codes and different numeric codes, and explanatory notes on the scope of the export ban were added for several entries including Pentabromodiphenyl ether-related substances and PFOA/PFOS entries.

Part 2 now opens with a list of exemptions for mercury-added products such as those for civil protection, military, research, calibration, and certain switches and relays, and it adds new numbered entries (9 through 13) covering batteries, switches and relays, cosmetics, pesticides and biocides, and non-electronic measuring devices, while some earlier entries such as CN codes and CAS/EC identifiers in entries 1 to 4 were also revised.

In Part 2, entry 3 of the mercury compounds list now also names Mercury (II) sulphate and Mercury (II) nitrate, with corresponding CAS RNs and EC numbers added alongside the existing ones.

Part 2 also gains four new entries, numbered 5 through 8, covering compact fluorescent lamps, certain linear fluorescent lamps, high pressure mercury vapour lamps, and certain mercury-added cold cathode and external electrode fluorescent lamps, each with specified mercury content thresholds, none of which appeared in the earlier text.

Part 1 of the list of persistent organic pollutants subject to export ban now includes additional entries not present before, namely Hexabromocyclododecane, Hexachlorobutadiene, and Polychlorinated naphthalenes, each with its own EC, CAS and CN code identifiers.

A new entry has also been added covering articles containing concentrations at or above 0,1 % of tetra-, penta-, hexa- or heptabromodiphenyl ether by weight when produced partially or fully from recycled materials or materials from waste prepared for re-use, listing the corresponding brominated diphenyl ether variants with their identifiers.

Part 2, covering mercury-related chemicals and articles, remains unchanged between the two texts.
