In the table of minimum macronutrient content for a straight solid inorganic macronutrient fertiliser containing only one declared macronutrient, the minimum calcium oxide (CaO) content value under point (e) was changed from 12% by mass to 9% by mass.

Point 5 no longer refers to maximum residue limit values under Regulation (EEC) No 315/93, Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 or Directive 2002/32/EC, and instead states that residues of a pharmacologically active substance within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No 470/2009 may be present in an EU fertilising product only if the substance is listed in Table 1 of the Annex to Commission Regulation (EU) No 37/2010 or has a reference point for action set under Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/1871 and is present below that reference point.

A new point 5a has been added stating that an EU fertilising product may contain an active substance within the meaning of Article 2(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 only if the product does not have a plant protection function within the meaning of Article 2(1) of that Regulation.

A new point 2a has been added to the growing medium provisions, stating that by derogation from point 2(d) the nickel limit value for a growing medium composed totally of mineral constituents and offered for professional use in horticulture, green roofs or green walls applies to the bioavailable content of the contaminant, and other adjustments appear across the listed sub-provisions such as the inorganic soil improver pathogen limits and the micronutrient fertiliser typology table entries.
