The provision now lists three separate circumstances, labelled (a) to (c), in which the Commission may adopt implementing acts cancelling protection, replacing the single ground of no longer ensured compliance with the product specification.
The former single reason is retained as point (a), now phrased as compliance no longer being guaranteed, and two new grounds are added: no product having been placed on the market under the name for at least seven consecutive years, and an applicant meeting the Article 95 conditions declaring it no longer wishes to maintain the protection.
The phrase describing who may request cancellation is reworded from a duly substantiated request by a party to a duly substantiated request of a party, without altering the list of who may make that request.
