Checks on SME downstream operators and traders
1. The checks on SME downstream operators and traders shall include the examination of documentation and records that demonstrate compliance with Article 5(2), 5(1), (2), (3) and (4).
2. The checks on SME downstream operators and traders may also include, where appropriate, in particular where the examinations referred to in paragraph 1 have raised questions, spot checks, including field audits.
