The revised article adds a new paragraph 1 stating that the full amount of Tier 2 instruments with a residual maturity of more than five years qualifies as Tier 2 items, a statement not present before.
The former single paragraph is renumbered as paragraph 2, and its calculation basis changes from the nominal amount of the instruments or subordinated loans to the carrying amount of the instruments, with references to calendar days replaced by references to days and the reference to subordinated loans removed from point (b).
