The provision now refers to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 in place of Directive 95/46/EC as the source of Member States' data processing obligations.
It also replaces the reference to Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 with Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 as the basis for the Authority's own data processing obligations, adding a full citation of that Regulation including its title, date and Official Journal reference.

Data protection
This Regulation shall be without prejudice to the obligations of Member States relating to their processing of personal data under Directive 95/46/EC Regulation (EU) 2016/679 or the obligations of the Authority relating to its processing of personal data under Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 of the European Parliament and of the Council
Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 and Decision No 1247/2002/EC (OJ L 295, 21.11.2018, p. 39). when fulfilling its responsibilities.
